DSA Business Services sites are licensed under Section 77G of the Customs Act 1901, allowing importers to move goods away from the wharf or airport for short-term storage and unpacking/ deconsolidation. Imported goods received at our Section 77G depot can be either released directly into home consumption once all Customs and Quarantine Legislative requirements are met, or moved to a Section 79 Customs Warehouse for storage.
Our Section 77G depot is licensed by Customs, allowing certain activities to be undertaken in relation to goods that are subject to Customs control. These activities include:
• Holding and unpacking of imported goods
• Holding and packing of goods for export
• Examination by Customs of imported and exported goods

By storing Excise Equivalent Goods (EEGs) in our licensed facilities, you can defer the payment of customs duty until you are ready to enter the goods for home consumption or the goods are exported. These goods are referred to as 'under-bond'.
